Project Details

The ESIA Training Batch III was conducted as a public training program from 16–20 June 2025, delivered online to facilitate participation from professionals across different regions. This batch involved 22 participants representing a diverse mix of organizations, including PT Indexim Coalindo, PT Kalimantan Energi Hijau, Asset Pacific Group, BRIN, PT Alam Hijau Konsultan, PT SMEC Denka Indonesia, PT Cedar Karyatama Lestarindo, and PT Sucofindo Cabang Semarang. Although smaller in number compared to previous batches, the composition of participants reflected a more focused and specialized engagement from key sectors involved in environmental and social governance.

The training was designed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and practical understanding of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), with an emphasis on both technical depth and real-world application. Over the course of five days, participants engaged in structured sessions covering core ESIA components, including impact identification, risk assessment, management planning, and monitoring frameworks. The program also highlighted the importance of integrating ESIA into project lifecycles to ensure compliance with both national regulations and international standards.

A notable aspect of this batch was the quality of discussions and knowledge exchange among participants. With a more concentrated group, the learning environment enabled deeper interaction, allowing participants to explore complex challenges, share professional experiences, and critically examine ESIA practices within their respective industries. This setting fostered a more intensive and collaborative learning dynamic compared to larger cohorts.

In addition, the program encouraged participants to contextualize ESIA principles within their organizational and sectoral realities. By bridging theoretical concepts with practical case discussions, participants were better equipped to apply ESIA methodologies in addressing environmental and social risks in ongoing and future projects.

Overall, ESIA Training Batch III was successfully completed, contributing to the continued development of ESIA capacity across industries. The program reinforced not only technical competencies but also the importance of cross-sector dialogue in advancing sustainable and responsible project implementation.
